Orro's Gold STC frame mixes exquisite elegance with serious technological innovation, to produce a cyclists dream. The frame is made from Spread-Tow Carbon Fibre (STC), produced by Oxford based carbon manufacturer Sigmatex. STC has an incredible strength to weight ratio, which means it can provide incredible stiffness for maximum power transfer and precision handling, whilst remaining incredibly light. A medium painted Orro Gold STC frame weighs a mere 955g. In order to maximise rider happiness and potential it is also designed to be a very comfortable bike, ideal for sportive or “Gran Fondo” (Big Ride) riding. Orro have utilised different strength carbon on different areas of the bike, producing a bike with super-stiff lower and frontal tubing for enhanced power transfer and handling, with progressively more flexible carbon being used higher up the bike to help decrease road buzz and aid rider comfort. A frame capable of excellent performance is most easily utilised to its full extent when its rider is comfortable and happy.
