Whyte's Clifton is one of the best E-bikes currently on the market. Using an adapted version of Whyte's brilliant R7 frame and Shimano's top of the range STEPS E-bike technology, the Clifton is an all-round high quality machine. Every part of the specification is tailored to the requirements of an E-bike and its rider. Hydraulic disc brakes and their immense stopping power make total sense on E-bikes, due to the increase in weight and power. The fat 650bx47c WTB ByWay E-bike specific tyres are extremely tough for the same reason, helping to protect against punctures and premature tyre wear from the increased weight and torque. The hydraulic disc brakes and wide tyres are also very user friendly, with predictable breaking in all weather and lots of air-cushioning comfort and grip. Other neat user-friendly touches include the ergonomic grips and integrated lighting at the front of the bike. Of course the Shimano STEPS is the star of the show and a big reason as to why the Clifton is so good. With a max range of 77 miles in ECO mode, you can enjoy an entire afternoon on your E-bike without worrying about having to stop your fun. It's very easy to use with a stylish digital display mounted to the stem and system controls on the handlebars. Select which power mode you'd like and STEPS does the rest for you. There's even an in-built cycle computer so you can see how far you've covered and at what speed. A complete package, the Clifton makes the unrestricted freedom of cycling available to everyone.
