The Candy takes the Eggbeater's minimalist spindle design and adds a lightweight platform, providing more support, stability and guidance when clipping in. The platform of the candy leaves ample room around the mechanism meaning it retains the two key advantages of the Eggbeaters open design. The Candy has the same 4 sided entry as the Eggbeater, for easy entry. Every pair of Candy's comes with Crankbrother's premium brass cleats, which can be set up with either 15o or 20o release angles, offering 6o of float as standard (0o float cleats can be bought separately). The Candy also sheds mud, snow and other gunky materials that threaten to clog the mechanism brilliantly, maintaining reliable entry and exit. The platform makes it easier to ride the Candy's when you're not clipped in and offers some protection for your foot and the mechanism when the going gets rough. Using a Crankbrother's exclusive Igus LL Glide inner bearing and needle outer bearing in a double seal system, Candy's spin exceptionally well for top notch performance. Candy's are Fully serviceable and can be rebuilt with a cheap Crankbrother's pedal refresh kit, to greatly extended their lifespan.
