Northwave's Celsius 2 GTX Winter MTB shoes provide excellent insulation and protection from the elements, avoiding the need for using fiddly overshoes with your Summer shoes. The Celsius gets the GTX in its name from the outer Gore-Tex upper layer of the shoe, which provides complete protection from water, snow and any other forms of precipitation, whilst remaining breathable. The inner microfibre upper layer is designed to create the perfect micro-climate for your foot keeping it the right warmth (not too warm and sweaty) in temperatures from -10^o/+15^oC. These two layers are thermowelded together meaning there is no stitching for enhanced comfort and sealing. The sole is made from Jaws reinforced carbon fibre for good grip and stiffness when pedalling, so you can ride with top performance shoes in all weathers. The “Speed Lace” closure system provides comfortable adjustable fit, providing even pressure across the top of the foot and being loosened and tightened with a couple of movements. A neoprene cover protects the “Speed Lace” system from the elements when riding, while a neoprene ankle cover stops water from entering the shoe from above whilst providing a comfortable flexible support. Finished with reflective logos and highlights these shoes are highly visible in low-light conditions.
