Pre loved Scott Sonoma TR3 Trekking bike, perfect for commuting or exploring quiet roads, looking for a new owner to continue being ridden and loved for years to come. It's great value, as a machine of this quality would cost over £1000 new. One previous owner. This bike was bought by Carol (Cris's wife) when she lived in Cambridge and rode to and from work during summer months. She wanted a comfy bike with an upright position, and the Sonoma fitted her requirements. It had lots more gears than she needed in flat Cambridge, but when she moved to Maidenhead she appreciated the wide range available for her new commute, to Uxbridge along the jubilee river and canal-side cycle paths.
She has had this bike well maintained by Flat Harry himself, with new super tough, yet comfy 35mm wide tyres recently fitted, as well as new triple compound brake blocks and a shiny new nickel coated chain, to ensure this bike rides as good as new. Carol found the rear rack brilliantly versatile for holding her work pannier/briefcase during the week, and when popping down to get the paper at weekends. The dynamo and front light was fitted recently to replace the original one that wasn't reliable, and has proven invaluable when she found herself riding home later than expected.
All in all this is a superbly capable bike, and if bought new now this would cost you over £1000; for the equivalent Whyte Caledonian Womens bike at £875, and an additional £200+ of upgrades in the form of mudguards, rack, lights and upgraded tyres and components, making this pre-loved Scott quite the bargain!
