Fizik Antares R3 Black/White

The Antares (Chameleon) saddle is the intermediate saddle in Fizik's Spine concept range, with a flat and relatively slender front section, combined with a wider and slightly upward rear section. The Antares is designed for riders with a moderate degree of spinal flexibility, who rotate their pelvis a little bit when cycling; the little kick up at the rear of the saddle is looked upon favourably by riders who like to push back into their saddles when climbing, with the front half flat and slim enough that their legs don't feel inhibited when riding in a more aggressive position on flats and downhill.

The R3 level saddle presents a meeting point between comfort and performance. Lightweight K:ium alloy rails are paired with a Fiberglass/Carbon Thermoplastic Composite shell with Wing Flex, for great shock absorption and support on a saddle that weighs just 195g. Fi'zi:k's Wing Flex technology enables flexibility where the rider's thighs meet the saddle, to reduce chafing and improve comfort on rough roads. The thermowelded microtex cover is very durable, lightweight and easy to clean, with a classic black and white finish living up to Fi'zi:k's reputation for producing aesthetically pleasing bicycle components, suited to pretty much any bike out there. Occupying the mid-ground and perhaps the hardest to define of Fi'zi:k's three spine concept saddle designs, the Antares is a popular choice with riders who don't fall into the highly flexible, or highly inflexible camps, catering to the vast amount of riders in-between.
