2018 Whyte 603 Lime

Whyte's 603, is a coming together of fundamentally sound design and good value for money components, to make a quality hardtail that doesn't break the bank. Whyte themselves are open about using the same logic they apply to their top-end MTB's all the way through their range, as once acquired, knowledge doesn't cost them anything. As a result the 600 series frame is updated for 2018, having undergone what Whyte call the “trail treatment”. This has resulted in a longer wheelbase hardtail with a slacker head angle than before, creating a frame that looks perfectly in place alongside their super-aggressive trail ripping 900 series bikes. Emblematic of all Whyte MTB's the front wheel is pushed out for greater stability and control, with wide handlebars and a tucked in rear wheel keeping the 603 responsive and sharp. Using an SR Suntour XCM 100mm travel fork, the 603 has plenty of front end cushioning and support when start whipping it around your favourite trail.

The same as many of Whyte's top bikes the 603 comes with BBX internal cable management and weather-proofing. The bike is also equipped with Whyte's own “get a grip” seatpost clamp system, for quick and easy adjustments even with the coldest of hands. A Shimano Altus 3x9 drivetrain gives you plenty of options to deal with any terrain facing you and Tektro hydrualic disc brakes give you all the confidence and control you need to really try and test yourself at speed. Exuding all the quality you'd expect from Whyte bike, with a good value for money price to match, the 603 is a fantastic entry level hardtail. Perfect for anyone getting into off-roading fun, the 603 may be entry level by name but certainly not by nature.
